About: Zak Barbarosh
My name is Zak Barbarosh. For the last four years I have been been working as an Application Coach for Apple’s Teacher Technology Support Center contract with the Broward County School District. I am the North Area School’s Representative responsible for coordinating and providing application training and "on demand" help desk support for both the Mac and XP products. During a normal week, I give 1 to 1, small groups and large groups learning sessions on a variety of Broward County Supported applications. I am also responsible for training design, website creation and maintenance, and various video production projects using the entire iLife Suite of applications. I also assist schools with using their iPod carts; setting-up the media host, choosing the content and syncing the iPods. Prior to my work with the Teacher Technology Support Center, I was living in the resort town of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where I owned and operated a demanding internet cafe. I was responsible for every aspect of the business; network design/set-up and maintenance, hardware/software/network trouble shooting. Of course, I was also in charge of the non-computer aspects of a business; hiring, training, sales, accounting, purchasing, etc. Before leaving the states, I worked for Dantz Development Corporation (the creators of Retrospect Backup Software) as an International Tech Support Engineer. I provided excellent customer support (in Spanish and English) relating to all aspects of our Mac and PC products. This includes hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnosis of customer issues. I have also had the opportunity to work as a black box software tester in my position as Software Test Engineer. I was responsible for finding bugs, bug reporting with Bugzilla and re-testing the fixes. I am extremely organized, dedicated, detailed oriented, and always maintain professionalism in every situation.
